Due to the high volume of private trainings requested, the training tools oftentimes needed, and for safety reasons, private sessions are typically held at the AK Dog Sports training facility. 

Initial Behavioral Training Assessment     $120/1-2 hr session

The initial consultation/assessment is required prior to any one-on-on training sessions addressing behavioral issues such as fear, reactivity, aggression, anxiety, etc.).  Initial consultations run approximately one and one-half hours. If one-on-one private training is desired to help assist with obedience training for a dog that is experiencing no behavioral issues (fear, reactivity, aggression, anxiety, etc.), no behavioral consultation/assessment is required (see Private Obedience Training below).    

Continuing Private Behavioral Sessions     $50/session

These are continuing sessions after the initial behavioral consult/assessment.  Sessions run approximately one hour.

Private Obedience Training (One-On-One) (includes obedience, puppy issues, conformation handling, etc.)     $50/session          

Private obedience training sessions are used to address issues not related to fear, reactivity, aggression or anxiety, such as helping the dog/handler team achieve a higher level of obedience or competition level readiness.  Dogs of any age, and handlers, can often benefit from some one-on-one instruction in how to train basic obedience commands, teach self control, etc.  Oftentimes owners of young puppies may be experiencing issues with potty training, jumping up, puppy biting, and teaching the puppy the basic commands of sit, down, stay, come, etc.  Private obedience training sessions can help put you and your dog on the right path.  Sessions run approximately one hour.
